As much as we make progress, there are still disparities and barriers that need to fall for women to be fully accepted and valued. This is a conscious and constant work that requires our full participation.
The coffee industry is one of those sectors that needs a lot of work to uncover the unconscious bias against women. This is the reason why we chose to create a coffee set that shares more about the women who are leaving their mark in the coffee industry.
We will donate 10% of the proceeds of this coffee set to the International Women In Coffee Alliance. This is an international non-profit that empowers women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives and to encourage and recognize the participation of women in all aspects of the coffee industry.
We have put together a set that offers a perfect variety of flavors to discover and enjoy women-produced coffees while opening the path for women to thrive!
Finca Santa Luis is a fully washed coffee from the famous Tarrazu region in Costa Rica, produced by Daniela Gutierrez and her family. This coffee has caramel, chocolate, orange, and lemon flavors; it is sweet with a long-lasting aftertaste and has a smooth mouthfeel.
Microdota Mujer Honey comes from a group of 18 women coffee producers who are part of an exclusive project of Tico Coffee Roasters and Coopedota that represents each woman coffee producer who works passionately for the welfare of the family and the community. The coffee has notes of berries, chocolate and pineapple.
