Finca San Luis and the La Montaña de Tarrazu Micromill in Costa Rica is a family business, overseen by two sisters, Daniela and Tatiana Gutierrez, having taken over day-to-day operations from their father, Jorge.
As a result, Daniela handles day-to-day operations and is passionate about specialty coffee. She has learned about barista skills as well as roasting and enjoys drinking the coffees that La Montaña produces. Meanwhile, the sisters' father is still involved at the farm, but the sisters are working in the commercialization of the coffee.
Jorge acquired his first farm 40 years ago, and he is still fascinated by coffee production. He has dedicated his whole life to growing coffee, and now his daughters are following in his footsteps. "Coffee for us is our way of life," says Daniela. "It is a job that we enjoy and that we are passionate about. Coffee is what we breathe and what we love to do."

Very tasty,not too strong.
Hello
I do love the coffee but sadly I never received it. It shows delivered but it wasn’t. When I called to ask about it it was told they couldn’t help. That it was shipped with no insurance so I had to deal with it myself.
Very bitter not smooth at all
Not only do I absolutely love the Costa Rica Finca San Luis coffee, I love and support the growers and a hats off to Tico Coffee. I use a French Press and follow a 4 minute brew routine. Pour 1 liter of 205°± filtered water over 4 scoops of medium to coarse ground coffee, after 1 minute stir for a few seconds, wait 3 more minutes, tap the sides of the pot to encourage the grounds to sink, insert plunger/filter and slowly press to the bottom. Pour and drink a cup of rich, flavorful, non-bitter coffee. Thank you Tico crew!!
rich and full bodied freshly ground in a 12 oz cuppa... enjoy the morning experience...

This is my go to coffee. I prefer beans out of Costa Rica and this medium roast is one of the best
